A dent near the fuel door should be assessed as an area of damage, not only as an exterior blemish. Report changes in filler-door fit and any fuel odor or leakage. If there is an active leak or other immediate hazard, move away and arrange emergency assistance rather than continuing a repair-photo session.

A parking beep or an absence of warning lights does not establish that a struck bumper and its sensors are correctly positioned. Report the impact and let the repair assessment identify the installed equipment, physical damage and manufacturer-required operations.

After a parking-lot impact, check whether the door opens, closes and seals normally before treating the damage as a dent-only job. The location of the hit matters: damage near an edge, hinge, latch or window opening can require a different assessment from a shallow dent in the middle of a panel.

A parked car can have more than a scraped bumper after a rear impact. Record what changed around the trunk, lamps and bumper before requesting an inspection. Photos help start the conversation, but they cannot establish the condition of the reinforcement or structure behind the cover.
