Dynamic Calibration Driving Conditions
A dynamic calibration may require specified road, speed, visibility and system conditions. It is a defined operation with completion criteria, not simply driving the repaired vehicle around the block. Conditions can affect when it can be performed.

What to Clarify for Your Vehicle
Ask which procedure applies and what documentation establishes completion. An unsuitable route or weather condition may require rescheduling the operation. General guidance should not be used to attempt calibration or to decide a damaged vehicle is safe for a road test.
A dynamic procedure is more than a normal road test
Dynamic calibration involves driving under vehicle-specific procedural conditions. Required road, speed, visibility or other conditions vary. An ordinary test drive and a completed calibration are different events, even if both involve driving.
Conditions that are unsuitable can prevent completion. The repairer should follow the prescribed method rather than substitute a generic distance or a promise that the system will eventually relearn on its own.
Understand the result and any dependency
Ask whether the procedure completed and whether weather, road conditions or another prerequisite affected the work. If both static and dynamic steps are required, clarify whether both were performed. One completed step should not be assumed to cover the other.
At handoff, retain the result and any relevant instructions. If a feature remains unavailable, request an explanation before treating the repair as fully resolved. Do not drive a damaged vehicle specifically to trigger calibration; transport and repair decisions should be based on its assessed condition.
Example: a drive that does not finish the procedure
A vehicle may be driven during the repair process for more than one purpose. A road test can assess a symptom or operation; a dynamic calibration has its own prescribed conditions and completion criteria. The fact that the vehicle accumulated mileage does not identify which task was completed.
If weather or road conditions prevent a required dynamic step from finishing, the record should describe that status and the next plan. The owner should not be told to assume ordinary driving will replace a procedure unless the applicable instructions actually support that approach.
Ask whether a dynamic step was required, whether it completed and whether any other calibration step applies. Keep the result instead of relying on a remembered statement that someone took the vehicle around the block. If the feature remains unavailable, provide the exact message and conditions for assessment. This example explains documentation; it does not prescribe a speed, distance or route for an owner to perform calibration.

Related Guidance
Treat an unsuitable condition as a scheduling dependency
If the relevant road or weather conditions prevent completion, ask what the team can confirm now and what remains to be arranged. A planned trip and a completed procedure are different milestones. Keep the update tied to the actual status instead of assuming the system will finish by itself during normal owner driving.
Discuss your travel or transport needs separately from the technical requirement. A planned departure does not establish that the conditions for the procedure have been met. Ask for the next meaningful update and any relevant instruction before vehicle use. Avoid pressuring the team to describe an incomplete stage as a completed repair release.
If an outside provider handles the operation, confirm the handoff and result. The provider should receive the vehicle information and relevant physical-repair history. Ask how a limitation or failed attempt will be reported back to the main team and how any next step will be authorized.
